Admissions Policy

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ is an open-access postsecondary institution that opens doors to higher education. A student enrolling at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ for the first time or students who are re-entering ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ after stopping out for one or more semesters must submit an application for admission. Students may be admitted to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ as a first-time student, as a student with transfer credit from another postsecondary institution, as a visiting student, or as a non-degree student. ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ admits students who have graduated from high school, who have earned or are eligible to pursue a high school general equivalency diploma, or who are dually enrolled in high school and the college. Per KCTCS Board of Regents Policy 1.3.2.4 on Admission to KCTCS Colleges, in keeping with the goal of increasing access to postsecondary education, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ adheres to established CPE admission guidelines. In addition to admission to the College, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½Íøվ’s selective admissions programs include additional requirements for program acceptance.

All applicants meeting the appropriate academic requirements and technical standards shall be considered equally for admission to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ or to any programs regardless of race, color, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
